Anyone using a Valentine 1 in a C6 able to tell me where to insert the hot wire (red insulation) ground wire (green insulation)? also the Invisicord ends are flat. Do they insert with the flat up or sideways?

This forum post should sort things out for you and I think there are video links for visual help.

The hardest part I found was getting the multi wire plug out of the back of the mirror to insert the two new wires to the + and - source feeds to the mirror.

I just put my V1 into my car yesterday. So I am very familiar with this.
I searched the Forum for "Installation Invisicord" knowing I used Forum member Bugman instructions a few years ago. They are still there complete with photos. You put the ground in the upper left corner and the hot in the fourth slot that has a pink wire there. The pins flat vs edge don't matter and I never paid attention to it. The whole process takes two minutes. I hope this helps

This is how I plugged my 9500ix with the cord. Btw: I pushed the flat pins in ABOVE existing wire to get power pushing them in below the wire did not make a connection for me. Also hold the mirror in one hand while pulling plug out wiggling it side to side while doing so. You don't what the mirror to pull off!
