It's the little things
So we were ready for a vacation, Skyline drive, Tail of the dragon. NCM, the Bourban trail. Recall complete, fluids changed all was good. Stared the car battery voltage 13.3! The negative battery terminal cable clamp tensioner broke. I was lucky it failed in our driveway. A small delay in our departure. I believe we will take an air compressor, small, tool kit, plastic ties, safety wire. and a can of luck.

Hey, where can I buy one of those ('can of luck')?????? I want a whole frakkin' case!
Good catch, it's always nice when things break right at home.............

I seem to be very fortunate that way. I have a lot of stuff to break (in general, not really the Corvette so much), but it usually breaks while sitting in the garage or driveway at the house.
Have a good trip!

Here is a pic of us ready to leave on a 3 week road trip.
The pic is not great as it was still dark outside when we left our home.
Enjoy your road trip. Have fun and drive safe

You should check out Blue Ridge and Grandfather Mountain. I'm from NC and planning to go to Tail Of The Dragon too.

You my friend must have been in the service to be able to put 3 weeks of clothing in those pieces. We are have same size luggage and have down sized to one piece. This is a much needed get away for us. Only thing not going is our Yorkie she passed 3 weeks ago. My Sniper is sorely missed.

Depending on where you're stay in NC. I'm a sushi fan and there's Wild Wok in Hickory behind Valley Hills Mall. 50% off before 6pm on weekdays. Just becareful on Tail Of The Dragon. It's a tourist attraction and a lot of wrecks has happened there. Semi trucks use that route too, 300 turns within 10 miles. The new miata was featured on there. Be safe.

If you like out door activities, definitely check out The White Water Center. All day pass for $50 bucks gets you everything, mountain bike riding, zip line, obstacle courses, paddle board, and white water rafting. It's located off 485 towards Kings Mountain. Loads of fun. Carowinds in Charlotte, has the fastest giga rollercoaster that just opened up. Indoor sky diving in Fayetteville, $60 bucks for two minutes but 1 minute increments. It may not sound a lot but its well worth it.

To your question, on that particular trip, we stayed for a week in Jacksonville while we were at the Players Golf tournament, and the Suites hotel had a laundry facility on site.
We usually have enough clothes to last us about 4 days in those suitcases. We always try to book hotels that have laundry facilities. We normally only drive from 07:00am to about 4pm daily, so that gives us time to wash clothes every 3-4 days, if were not stopping for any extended days.
It's worked for us so far.
