Ordered mats with jake logo for my 05 c6 in black. Is there a difference in shade between black and ebony? Seems like the matts are much darker then the factory carpet? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Nice choice on Lloyd mats, been using them for years on all my Vettes, and if you have coupe, get the rear one, it will bring down the heat and makes the ride lot quiet. I also have black Corvette and bought Ebony.

Yes there is a difference. When I ordered mine for my 2007 I ordered black. At that time there was a lot of talk about Ebony not really matching up. Rather than take a chance I ordered Black and they looked fine.
For my 2012 I ordered Ebony and they are a pretty good match. They do have a slight greenish tint under certain lighting conditions. I never had that problem with Black.

Ebony is the correct "black" for this. There is a huge difference between Ebony and Black. I would call Ebony a very dark charcoal, and Black more of a "Jet".

How do you tell the difference between the Velortex and Ultimat just by looking at them. I do not see any label on them stating either.
yea that's really not what I had in mind though. I'm wanting to know....since Lloyds does not put a label on the mats that actually say "Ultimat" or "Velortex" how do you know that when you order Ultimat's you actually received Ultimats. I don't see any type of labeling anywhere not even on the box.
@EVRose...does the one on the left fit a 2012? The 2012 I just bought have the awful one on the right. The one on the left does not look like it will fit my 2012.

The mats pictured are for a 2005 until half way through 2007, at which point they switched to a hook-style mount.
For the C6, Lloyds has the early years, where they put a plastic sheet "grommet" ( I hesitate to call it such) under the mat, which tried to hold the mat in place, but was less than successful, in doing so. After mid-2007, they adopted a metal grommet through the mat itself, (the same type as factory) to hold the factory hook, which works wonderfully.
So the answer is that the dimensions of the Lloyds mat are the same, but the attachment points aren't.

I think they have changed a little. I bought 2 sets of ebony mats for my last 2 Corvette's. 05 and 07 Z06. I just recently bought a 3rd set of ebony for my 06 and they are definitely darker (more black) than the last 2 sets I had.
