Default Interior piece..

There's a interior piece on the right side of the glove box door..runs the length of the glove box..does any one know how to remove this piece..thanks

When I did an interior color change on my last C6 (from ebony to red/ebony), I masked that piece and painted it "cobalt red" while still in place. The alternative was to buy an entire new dash.

Has anyone ever tried dying it....Would there be any problems doing so....Input anyone?

I was wondering if the glove box interior frame/box can come out easily and expose the rivets for easy drilling. If so, there should be a way to pop that piece out, dye it or paint it, pop it back in and pin it with some sort of blind fasteners.

I ask that because when I was searching for a black door to replace my cashmere door, I saw a lot of doors with the interior box so I assume it can be removed.

Anyone know if that exposes the rivet heads?
