Default Upgrade question

Ok, this has probably been asked before, but just the same....here goes.

2005 Base with 6 spd and 42,000 miles. I have a couple upgrades I'm thinking of.......MGW shifter and Vararam Snake Charmer CAI. Now, since the car has the stock exhaust system and I don't plan (or will have the funds) anytime soon to change that, will the CAI make a noticable difference and/or be worth it? Same question with the MGW shifter

Thanks.

MGW Shifter -- i noticed a definite improvement. That's a go.

CAI -- you might notice improved intake sound (more howl at WOT), but in general, the consensus seems to be that it adds very little in real power gains when used all by itself. Some say yes, some say no. YMMV. Do it if you want, but keep your expectations low.

Get the shifter and save your money on the intake

added the MGW, well worth it, added a K&N CAI; looks neat, makes alittle more nice noise and maybe, maybe revs alittle easier but that's about it......
