The shutting off part sounds like a loose ground, but starting back up when you press the brake is strange. Will the car start just by hitting the brake when it is standing still? It must be a loose ground and when you hit brakes it force ofslowing the car causes the ground to reconnect. I would tighten all grounds and make sure the battery terminals are tight.

The shop I have it at the owner told me that the car started all by itself with no one in it and no one around the key fob was in the cupholder his comment was your car is possessed LOL
