issue 1: so the person(s) who owned this car before me must have been horrible at parking, the mirrors both have rub marks down to black, theres a few scratches on the side as well. i am thinking about having them taken care of but i am not all too worried at this point, not like its gonna rust.
issue 2: around the rear trunk lid there are some bubbles, is this something that is easily remedied or is it cheaper to just leave it as is? Will detailing cause the bubbles to rupture?
issue 3: there appears to be some kind of staining on the paint in some spots, im guessing they used a car cover on this thing. would a professional detailer be able to get this out or is it a wet sanding operation?
TIA
edit: car is monterrey red metallic

Factory paint doesn't "bubble" in my experience. Sounds like someone painted that area. If there are bubbles, they probably will burst sooner or later, and you will have something that looks like a chip (depending on size, it might look like a flake). Not touching the area probably won't make much difference in the long run.
Covers don't usually cause "staining", they cause "scratching". Again pictures may help.

yeah after i posted the thread i was thinking that pictures would be something to add lol, ill see what i can get tomorrow.
the bubbles are only on the trunk area near the edges iirc, its a clear carfax and only had 22xxx on it when i got it...all the fit is ok and theres no tint difference in the paint which leads me to believe its a factory item (then again, if i knew what i was talking about i wouldnt be posting this lol). it was well taken care of, hell the engine is showroom clean...it just wasnt parked in their garage well.
If cost is a serious concern, you might want to price two options: getting the mirrors repainted, and finding good used ones from a salvage yard. Many salvage yards now have online inventories, so you can search for what you want, but a little googling should find you a couple of mirrors in the right color, and they might be cheaper than repainting yours. Plus, you can sell your old ones, since someone might have smashed mirrors and would buy yours to repaint.

I swear that pic is so busy, I almost lost sight of those mirrors.

I seem to remember that a number of C5s had a bubbling paint problem on the rear deck, and that GM took care of them in a recall, or at least if a customer brought it to their attention. Haven't heard of the problem on the C6 but there may be one.
