Ask yourself this question : Do I need this mod to enjoy my corvette? Then turn off the computer and go take a long ride on a twisty road and answer NO

The only real long term positive cure is death and I really don't recommend it.

Corvettes don't need any mods. Perfect right out of the box.

Small mods are okay...but the major ones will always feel like a mistake down the road primarily in your pocket book.

If you don't spend now, you won't have any cool stories at your future nursing home.

Im in the same boat right now with our vette. 06 with 22k miles making 568rwhp..... keep modifying it or just leave it as is..... prob have close to 45k invested already and i feel any more mods i will just be throwing money away because i will never get that kinda of money out of it if i sell it.... but its like an addiction...........

That's just misplaced logic. Whenever I buy anything for my Vette, I already know I'm never going to recoup what I spent. My enjoyment is looking at the parts for a few days and then installing them.

Even now, I have a set of Kooks headers and BB Fusion exhaust sitting in the living room awaiting install but I'm enjoying every minute imagining what they're going to sound like and the improvement I'm about to receive.

That's what I'm paying for. I couldn't care less who gets my car after me (although I do take meticulous care).

Exhaust is 1 thing....... thats the first mod i did was Kooks headers but its gone alot farther than that with custom cam, fast 102 intake, 102 throttle body, nitrous outlet nitrous kit, drag pack for drag racing....etc. I have no interest in recouping the money back but at what point is enough enough. Next we are looking at ECS supercharger set up for 800rwhp with supporting mods which was quoted over $17k.

Let me add to this last post.
I've added splash guards, side skirts, a nose mask, and mirror covers for protection from stone chips. I would not spend money to mod the engine/ drive train. I view that as a waste of money. I don't race the car and I don't need to be the first one at the next stop light. Plus you never get it back when you sell the car. We enjoy traveling in the vette on vacations. I spend my money on enjoying the car and seeing this beautiful country. We recently returned from 2 weeks in New England. A weekend with 300 other corvettes in Maine and then a week touring all of Cape Cod. Good friends, good times, great seafood, all in a fantastic car. Life doesn't get better

As soon as I'm done paying off my exhaust in a couple of months, I'm going for the A&A supercharger kit myself (plus free airline tickets) and besides a pro tune, I figure that is the limit for me. Nevertheless, I'm not looking to buy everyhing aftermarket there is, I'm just enjoying my car.

Afterwards, I'm going to invest in a couple of Bismarck and Canary palms and so on. I'm not sure where the limit is on my Vette but it's the shopping and saving up for that's the most enjoyable for me. When that's no longer of interest, I have a hundred other things to aim for.
