Has anyone successfully programmed a Lear
Car2U system in their car to a Lift Master Elite Series Opener?

Not me. Finally gave up and just have the clicker that came with the opener on my visor. I have tried intently several times.

Just an fyi. The repeater works well but has no battery backup, unless they have added one. If a power failure, need to reprogram car button. Not a big effort but garage door won't open. It will open with supplied remote if opener has battery backup.

Just FYI....
With the Liftmaster door opener, you can operate your garage door(s) remotely from your smartphone, rather than going through the frustration of getting that stupid thing to work from your car.
With the "Liftmaster MyQ" app, you can open/close and check on the status of your garage doors, from wherever you receive a cell phone signal.

Lear system is about useless. They will sell you a transmitter adapter for $25 per door. None of my post 07 GM cars worked with my doors. Chrysler corp cars work great stock but they didnt go cheap and use lear

Chamberlain is sending a repeater for the Homelink. Are you saying that Lear sells an adapter that will allow their Car2U to work with a Lifmaster opener?

Instructor
I can't promise this will work for you but I had success with my Chamberlain garage door opener, pretty normal by putting the garage door into "Learning mode" per the instructions in the user manual.
Had significant difficulty figuring out how to open my tract's security gate but figured it out and posted the instruction on the Forum..good luck..

Melting Slicks
I agree that the Homelink system is much better than the Lear, but when my visor hinge broke, it was replaced (under warranty) with a new one that had the Lear system in it. I was able to program it using the instructions provided with it. I tried to program it like I did the Homelink, and when that didn't work, I read the directions and it worked first time. Maybe I just got lucky.
