Default Window problem!

So this weekend i was changing out the factory speakers and went with some pioneer 8" with a 3/4" spacer. Well i hooked everything back up and put the door panel back on and well now the windows will only roll up about 4" and get stuck. I took off the speakers thinking maybe i had a clearance issue and the window still will not go up. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you had the battery disconnected you just need to re-index the windows.

With the engine running and the window down, close the car door. Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done. Don't forget the other window.

This will need to be done to both windows every time the car battery is disconnected, then reconnected.

Will they really reindex if the window only moves 4" from the bottom? Every time I've ever had to do it the windows were up but just didn't index down that bit to let the door close. I thought the window had to hit the roof trim to know where it was and how far to move when the door opens.

Well the drivers side window will only go down about halfway and get stuck and the passengers is wide open and will only go up about 4" up. They were both working perfectly fine before i did anything to the car.

Yours is not an indexing problem. Something is causing the window to bind or loose power and since it is both windows, I'd guess power. Check the grounds
