Drivers door will not open HELP
My brothers drivers door had been acting up for several months now so today I removed both key pads and cleaned them. The passenger door opens fine but after cleaning I still can't get the drivers door to open. I tried swapping the passenger key pad to the drivers side but it still will not work. The red light on the door will light up and but it will not open. The drivers side inside switch will not work either. Anybody got any ideas? His car is a 08 C6. Thanks for any insight and help!

You have to remove the door sill interior piece first by pulling up with your fingers. You can feel where the clips are.
Then remove the two push pins where the halo trim meets the b pillar. This is the hardest part of the job, I used two interior tools with a towel behind them to pull them out.
Then I used my hand to pull the b pillar trim off, just a few metal clips holding it in place.
Then you remove the moisture barrier
Then you have access to the latch.
Unscrew the latch
Remove the cables for the manual release.
Mount the cables on the new latch and reassemble.
The b pillar trim piece does not have a plastic guide, so getting the middle metal clip in can be hard to line up up, since you are blind to it's location.

I'm doing the same thing. The latch was $170 with shipping from a GM parts center. The trim removal takes som patience. But is necessary to access the latch. I pulled one of the fasteners off the pillar piece but it's no biggie because they were glued there by GM anyway. I epoxied it back on like new. I'm waiting for the latch to arrive. The part # is88956758.

Well, I pulled off the interior moulding with the two tools I had handy--my hands. Just remember it slips in and out under the sill moulding. Nothing broke. Then peel away the rubberized mat that's in the way. Remove the 3 screws, take the bad actuator out. Switchover the connector and the remote cables and reinstall.
Thanks for all the help! So far this is the cheapest place I have found for the part with shipping. Anybody found it cheaper?
