Starter just began chattering on startup. It starts but it takes a few seconds. This doesn't happen every time but enough to be of concern. Is it my starter or ignition?

 

I installed this hoping it would solve the "heat soak" problem......but it reared its head yesterday. Acted like it barely wanted to turn over...so I waited until engine cool and started right up not problem.

I was hoping it was simply a starter heat soak problem...

I guess im going to go down the Ground to frame road now ......

 

Wrap the starter in DEI heat-shield and no more issues. Sucks when your running around all day then stop to get gas and your car dont want to start.
