Funny, my 07 has the posts on the driver's side, and the hook on the passenger side!
The floormats I have are for the hook style correct? Is there a way to modify the drivers side so it can work with the post style?
I can't see your pic from dropbox, blocked at work. Can't see on my phone as requires an app.
The ones for Hooks have holes all the way thru them and the ones for posts have a plastic groove on the bottom that clips into the post.
05 to early 07
late 07 to 13
For other peoples information : they also moved the passenger side hook over 1" to the left in late 2013 cars. So you have to measure or check VIN when ordering aftermarket floor mats.

Can the post be removed? I have them and do not like em, would rather have the hooks
I have the posts in my '06 Vette and the hooks in my Camaro; like the hooks much better. Also, looking at the picture of the mat you posted, it looks like they are the hook style.
Thanks for the info/pics; where can I find the hook style you posted. I want to swap out the posts in '06
I found them on that popular online auction site.
I'm sure they are available on gmparts direct or other gm parts supplier also. Just have to dig to find the part number, but I can't seem to find it listed or the front carpets at all.

My 05 had the mats for hooks when I bought it. They were light grey instead of ebony and wouldn't stay in place. A phone call to West Coast Corvettes and the correct Lloyd mats were on the way. The post type mats have a plastic tab on the bottom that snaps to the post. Once the correct mat is secured you can't see anything. Our Lexus had the hooks and our 2014 Mercedes has posts. With posts, removing the mats to vacuum is seldom necessary because there's no hole for dirt to get under the mat.
Here's the correct mat installed with posts.
