I've never heard of that. It may be a good idea to contact MGW, they are very helpful with advise.

hopefully this guy did call me ( we get this call several times a month)

it is simply due to not tightening the pinch bolt connecting the shift rod to the linkage rod tight enough and it slips a little. easy fix and obviously NOT normal.

Yep, spoke with you last night, thanks for the quick answer. Now I just need to find enough time to pull apart the console and get it tightened back up. What strength of loctite would you recommend I put back on that bolt?

MGW has an excellent video covering all aspects of installation. I would use the permanent version of Locktite, in that I don't ever plan on dealing with that issue again. Check the video, MGW made a great one.

Had this same issue and found that I did not have the pinch bolts tight enough.. Loved the shifter was probably the best mod to the whole car.. MGW did a great job with their design and instructions for installation.

Yep, used the videos during the install, they were great. I guess I just underestimated how tight that bolt really needs to be! I'll attempt to go in and fix it this evening with generous amounts of loctite!

There is no other shifter IMO. And they continue to improve this shifter since the day it came out striving for perfection. Looking at the engineering involved, this shifter is a bargain at the price they charge. No Corvette tax here.

Opened up the console this evening and tightened that screw up...everything works fantastic now! I loved the shifter before, but it's even better now that it's installed correctly, great product!!!
