Default Creaking in a vert with the top UP?

The creaking seems to come from the cover when the top's up. It's not my seat back squeak cause I keep it all the way back, but quite audible over bumps or on rough roads. What can it be? If the top was down I would've thought it would be from the frame rails but it's up and the cover or whatever creaks too much to ignore. Anyone?

I have never heard of that one before. Got 82K on my 08 and no such noise on it yet.

Lower your windows about a half inch and see if the creaking goes away.

I have creaks in my 09. Not terrible nor loud, but very annoying. Most seem to come from the passenger seat/door area. It's probably the thing I dislike most about my ride

Wipe some silicone spray on the bottom edge of the top itself, where it pushes down against the tonneau and also on the bottom of the tonneau where it hits the rubber weatherstrip.

You say you keep your seat all the way back, are you sure the seat isn't rubbing on the lid?

The seat does rub but that's a different sound. I'll try the silicone but it's hard to believe the creaking sound can be coming from the rubber strips between the top and tonneau no matter how hard or in need of some 'lube' they may be, but I'll try it.

I fixed this in my 427 by adjusting the stops up for the top cover to make it just a bit tghter. Rolling the windows down would lessen the sound, it does not seem to be a common issue.

I used to have the creaking but it was coming from the roof rubber thingies on the sides touching the door glass. If you lower the door glass an inch, like somebody else suggested and it goes away or becomes quieter, then this is your problem. To solve it, put some silicon on the rubber parts that touch the glass. I did that three years ago and no creaking since then.
