2011 GS. A/C blowing hot air. Feels like it is picking up air through the heater core rather than the evaporative core as the air blowing out the dash is much hotter than ambient.
Guessing there is a little door somewhere that is in the wrong position. Tried ultra cold settings. Flipping back and forth between outlets (face/feet, etc). Stopping/starting a/c and engine. Suspect vacuum hose.
Easy to find/fix? Other suggestions?
Otherwise going to dealership in the morning. Do have extended warranty.
My guess is there's no easy fix if it's not the ac compressor. With the dual climate control and all the crap that goes along with it, I bet you're looking at maybe removing dash to get it repaired. Good luck, you might get lucky...
Is the cooling system even cooling? There is a pipe you can touch to see if it is cold or not, the hot air you are getting might just be the hot outside air being blown in without being cooled...
It could be the fresh/recirculate actuator motor; sometimes referred to as the blend door. I'm not familiar with its location on the Vette, but on my GMC Yukon, it's fairly easy to access. If you find it, simply pressing the recirculate button and viewing the door will tell you if it is operating normally. They're typically found under the passenger side footwell.
Appreciate the replies. Went out and actually spent some time with it and the compressor isn't kicking on. I did have a couple of instances where there was a delayed employment of the a/c on start up. I suspect, as someone suggested, that it's low on refrigerant (probable leak) or perhaps has a problem with the low side pressure sensor/switch.
Anyway, took it to the dealership this morning. Say a little prayer for me.

Just heard from the dealership. A faulty low side pressure sensor has been replaced and all else is well with the a/c system.
Thanks again for the ideas. I think wayback is due some credit for being the first in with the "low pressure cutoff". Unfortunately there is no cash prize, only recognition for a job well done.
