We all look for the perfect parking space...
Met my son at a new restaurant today for lunch.
Like all 'vette owners, I cruised around the unfamiliar parking lot looking for a reasonably safe parking space.
If it were possible, I would buy this space, and take it with me everywhere.

Ah yes, I have a spot like that at our local 711. That should be the only spot our vettes are allowed to park.

How far did you park from the restaurant?

Perfect spot!!
When I go to the parking garage I try to get and end spot. If they are all full there is one spot on the very back row that has a metal rail where one marker should be. It is about 1 3/4 spaces marked as one. Pull in at a angle and no way anyone can get near me.

What's up with the pulling into the spot? Being a Vette owner it is mandatory to back into parking spots each & every time without exception!
There is no downside in backing into spots, unless the driver is that untalented at driving.

Way to good a spot for a Grand Sport....
Seriously, they don't come any better than that.

Years ago, I made a pair of door protectors for when I had to park a nice car in a really tight space. I took a moving quilt (the kind you wrap furniture in when you move), hemmed it to the right size, and sewed some strong magnets into the fabric. Then, when I parked and thought I needed it, I would just stick it on the side of the car. Since it wasn't especially attractive, I figured no one would steal it (and no one ever did). It worked great, but it wouldn't work on a Plastic Fantastic.
