Finally lost a race...

What was shocking was how close the run was considering the power differences.
The cars...

Black one mine 640 RWHP
Grey one 7Seconds 754RWHP
Same power mods except for a removal of the restrictor plate (for more boost 14.5psi to 11.7psi) and an aftermarket cam. Oh he's running Mickey Thompson slicks out back too.

My only advantage for this type of race is I have a Mantic twin-disc clutch. It seems I'm able to grab the next gear a little harder/faster than his can on the stock clutch.
Both 3rd gear hits, once again, in Mexico...
I may have gotten a slight jump by about 1/2 car starting at around 70/75mph we were otherwise even. I hit 4th gear. Still not passing me. Went all through 4th and I hit 5th just under 150mph. Now he's starting to catch me just as I'm wrapping up 4th. I hit 5th and I shut down at ~160mph being about a car behind.
I come to find out thanks to the higher RPM he can go to he was still in 4th gear at 160mph+
. That's the difference maker right there for the race but it seems the extra power only comes in handy way up top with these boosted cars because mid-range they're about equal. It made my mind up I'm not doing anymore power mods at this point. Both cars are ridiculous in their own right.

nothing wrong with running in Mexico as long as you don't mind getting the cars impounded and spending a night in Mexican jail...I know on my side of Mexico they have been out looking for stuff like this...last week they had ground units and the chopper up....
they also started watching the folks leaving C&C just FYI
oh and while I am on the topic....to the jackass in the black C6 with the wing in Pinellas...quit driving like a douche all over the place your car sounds like *** and you make everyone else look bad..

that used to a local car

Here's how hard it pulls from 70. We wanted to leave traction out of the equation and just see raw power what happens. Obviously traction and/or driver skill can significantly alter the outcome.
