The grand sports still get attention
I got talked into parking my car in the local monthly event in our area ( http://www.eastcoastcruisersnsb.com/CanalStreet/ ) and it was fun watching the folks talk about our vettes. I even had one guy wait for almost an hour (for me to return back from admiring other cars) to try to buy mine
Here's a couple pics of mine, just setting up at the beginning of it. It's fun to go to, if you live in the local area.
Just got there...
Staged for audience viewing!

A couple months or so ago a friend and I went for about a half day ride in my '10 GS - it's practically 6 years old. He's ridden in it a few times but not for as far as we went that day. We made 2-3 stops for lunch, gas, etc. Everywhere we stopped someone was making compliments or asking questions about my car. My friend asked me "Does that happen every where you go?!?!" I think he was kind of shocked. Most people think it's brand new.

Very nice looking GS Ron!
Have you ever considered Blade Silver hash marks? Artic White?
It would transform your car's appearance.
I know they're not for everyone. Just wondered if you'd ever consider it.

Very nice you got your GS standing tall.
Do you think you'd still get all that attention if you had black wheels?

Yea, it amazes me the attention it still draws, because where I live there are some serious cars in the area.
Probably even with black rims too, haha!
I have over 60k miles on it, it is a daily driver, always parked outside, always parked in any open parking spot, and (with lots of knocking on wood), only a couple verrrry small gravel chips on the hood area in 4 years of driving.
I spent less than an hour getting it ready - I wiped it off with a wet towel and lightly spray waxed it for this event.
Kids (and most of their parents) just love vettes in general

Too true
My 2012 GS Conv. MT6 torch red with chrome factory wheels gets it's share but a good share of that is "want to race" bs which has taken some of the fun out of just cruising around......

I get quite a bit of compliments with mine, at least one a week. Daily driver, and like you, less than a hand full of very tiny chips. Plan to work on those after this heat goes away. Its always nice to receive a compliment on the car.

Boy do I ever know what you mean. I call it "ride-my-*** rush hour" but it's constant. And they're not even other sports cars but usually some SUV or mini van. I'm already doing a tad over to keep up with traffic and just like clockwork comes some aggressive dickbag riding my tail and then crazily passing me just to get into my lane yards before the next red light.

I happen to like them on the Grand Sport because it's traditional.
I've seen white on Atomic Orange, and it looks very good.

I do like them but just need the right color to push me over. I suppose they would have to be white but not stark white, more like a very light silver to match my interior and approximate my brake calipers.
