Default Airbag Light

Fired up our 06 for a ride up to the mountains this morning and saw that the little airbag warning light was on. Pulled over to the side, shut off the engine, started her back up and the light went off but not for long. It stayed on for about ten miles, shut off and never came back on for the rest of the day. Anybody ever have this happen? Just a little concerned as I don't want the darned airbag exploding in our faces!

Are you talking about the airbag light on the dash that indicates the airbag is not working?

If so, that's probably a loose connector under one of the seats. There have been several threads about this.

Had the problem on my 012 coupe. Local dealership heat-connected it for me.

Some folks fixed it themselves with a zip tie.
