Hello Tadge, I hope you are doing well, I need your help, I have a 2007 Corvette Base, convertible with 107,000 Miles, I bought it three years ago with 103,000, after a year this Warning appeared "service active handling system" and I could not move the car or start, I noticed the Stop light were ON all the time and I have to disconnect the Battery, a dealer came and re-program the computer and worked fine, until now that do it again.
The Brake sensor, was replaced, and even the shift box also.
What could be the problem and how can be fixed once and for all.
I am talking about "service active handling system" warning
There are too many reasons for the message/problem. You will need to have code(s) read when active message on DIC. Codes must be read pretty much only with a TechII to obtain them. Some problems are easily determined and fixed , some not so easy!
The same thing happened to my dads Vette last year.....in his case, there were 3 different things that needed to be changed out.....each one of which would affect the other. Hes currently up in PA getting ready for Carlisle next weekend, if I can get ahold of him, I'll post up just what exactly it was that got changed out.

I took it to the dealer and it was the "Brake Sensor", that was replaced about 9 months ago only lasted less than 1,600 miles, so it was under warranty and was replaced for free.
The code was C0277 means Brake Sensor malfunction, I could not even start the engine, display showing "Push Brake to Start" so what I did is
with my foot shake the Brake pedal sideways for a couple of times and then I was able to start the engine, but then the shift could not be move to "D" Drive I did the same on the pedal and at the same time trying to move the shift stick to Drive and works finally, so I can drive the car to the dealer and have it fix.
I hope this help other people having the same issue, my Corvette is a 2007 Base Convertible.
