Hey just got a 06 z06 and every once n a while the "Check Coolant Level" light comes on! I've checked the level several times and it is full. I checked to see if it was just a coolant level sensor and they don't have one. Please help if u can!!!

It's possible that you have air in the coolant system. When the car is cold, remove the reservoir cap, start the car until it warms up. See if you get bubbles in the reservoir tank, or if the level goes down, if so add coolant.
The temperature sensor may be starting to go bad as well.
The Check Coolant Level message is triggered by an algorithm that compares the rise in coolant temperature over a given period of time.
Check the connection to the sensor. It might be loose or need corrosion cleaning. Had one on my c5 that got corroded - cleaned it up and problem solved.

Would that also make my temp gauge read hot then colder then back up again? C it's usually running around 220*

It sounds if the temperature is fluctuating, your coolant temp sensor is bad.
Try checking for air in the system, that will also make the temps eratic.

Where is the sensor located? Is it still on the driver side of the front of the motor ?
