Open the hatch and use the door release located on the driver's side on the rear of the wheel well bump. To open the hatch, use the key that's inside your fob. The keyhole is located above your license plate.

+1. Look above the license plate. The keyhole will be facing toward the ground.

And when you get locked in pull the release lever on the floor next to the seat.

One of the first things the dealer showed me was the key in the fob and the trunk key slot.

It is good to work that lock every year just to keep it from sticking. I does set off the alarm too.

Now that you got in, grab the owner's manual and give it the once over for additional info that will certainly come up during your time of ownership. It's also good to know how to get out when the battery is dead and the answer is in the book.

When I went to look at my 07 AW, it was DOA inside the dealer showroom. Been dead for 4 months according to the sakesman. No one knew how to get in so they could jump start it or charge the battery.....at a Chevy dealership. I asked for the fob and key and showed the sakesman how to gain entry.

Bought it with the promise if battery failed they would reimburse me for a new one. They reimbursed me 2 weeks later.

That's pretty pathetic. They should be ashamed of themselves, really.

Never even thought about going back there for service.

Worked out well for me. They were glad to get rid of it and fell in love with my 06 MR vert. Gave me more for trade value than I paid for it new.
