Has anyone ever taken the shifter cap off their shifter (MN6)? I've got the ManKnob but his plate is the wrong color shading (brushed aluminum) to match the factory one (kind of a bronzeish aluminum)? I think it's probably just glues on but would like to have an idea before I attach it.
I absolutely hate the cheap look of the brushed aluminum. I printed out some vinyl with the GM "cyber" cf pattern (matches the center console) and did my steering wheel, shift ****, and door button bezels. On the shift **** I photoshopped a shift pattern on it. The cap pops off I used a flathead screwdriver very carefully.
