I once saw a guy put chains through his wheels and anchored the steering wheel to the floor with a chain and padlock.....it was in a C4

Odd, that's for sure! Not sure that padlocks would help with general thievery, because windows are so easily broken, anyway.

I would think that they would eventually scratch the heck out of the paint, even if every one of them is removed before driving.
