I have a 2008 c6 base need to replace my insulator or (under hood liner) rodent ate some for lunch. the one thats currently on there is a gm accesory one with the cross flags. ive search all over and it seems this part has been dicontinued from gm? anyone know where i might find one? if i buy the stock insulator does it have the cut out for the underhood lamp? dont'd remember if car came with this or added it ?

The older cars had the cut out for the light, the later years had an insolator without the the cutout. (cross flags without color). All the accesory ones do have the cutout, not sure about the discontinued part of it.

You would think the colored cross flags, Jake, and grant sport accessory ones would still be available.

If you were close to me, I'd give you mine.you could always paint the flags before you install a replacement, or do a mural like some others have. My car is an 06 and the insulator came with the cutout. Btw, been driving mine wihtout it since Feb I dont think you'll hurt anything imho. Good luck!

Corvette Central carries colored replacements. I have one, and it is great. Don't forget to order the plastic grommets. They are inexpensive and you will probably need them.
