How many cans of BG MOA for a Grand Sport Dry Sump?
Really? Is there some wording on the can about so many ounces of this to so many quarts of that? I was curious what bg moa was...hence I opened the thread.
Move along, folks, there's nothing to see here...
BG Products, Motor Oil Additive I believe is the real name. My advice, proceed w. caution. I used BG products in many cars and many parts of the car for awhile. I stopped after they recommended a manual trans fluid for a Chrysler manual trans.
Chrys. had two different fluids for the trans: auto trans and manual trans fluids. Guess which was specifically recommended for the manual trans by the trans mfr? Right---the auto trans fluid.
BG's product was wrong for the trans and caused a rebuild kit to be needed. They got their last dollars from me about seven years ago. I'm sure small cos. have some good engineers always looking to put out a great new product. But sometimes the engine, trans, diff, or axle mfr. knows best. Jmo.
Why would anyone feel the need for stuff like that?
I dont ever recall in the many a thousands of threads I have read over the years on here an engine failure due to oil/lubrication. It just doesn't happen.
There seems to be a plethora of drivers who think that additives have to added to just about everything nowadays.
I believe that except for zinc on some motors, there are enough additives already in the lubricating products out there, but JMHO
