Default Expel install

Thinking about getting Expel installed on my 2011 ZR1. Are there any good install places near Annapolis, Md. Anyone have regrets on getting this done.

Had mine installed a long way from you. Only regret is I did not do it sooner. You will be glad you did.

Go to Expel's website and click on, "find a dealer."

This product is not for diy.

I did my ZR1 and have no regrets. Xpel is a great product, albeit, expensive.

not even close. Many have tried and they almost all have the DIY "I tried to save money" look.

Had my 13 427, 60th Annv. done with Expel. Was not happy with install, many gaps and dirt would get under the edge and on a white car this was noticeable. I just had the front fenders redone and they look 100% better with no gaps this time, the problem now is that the hood has a yellow cast compared to the fenders. I also had a problem on the mirrors, the edge was puckered and bubbled. This happened right after I had them done and was replaced, but it happened again. When the fenders were redone the installer removed the product from the mirrors and pulled the clearcoat off of the pass. side mirror which I had to have repainted. So from the problems that I have had and continue to have, I'm not sure I would have it done on another car.

Had it done in January and am very happy. I did the front end and 18" up the hood and across the fenders, back of front wheel wells and front of rear, rockers/lower doors, mirrors, head lights and a custom piece above and behind the brake duct intakes and up the fender flares on my 2011GS. A few minor issues were fixed and am very happy. It is no cheap and the biggest cost is the labor. You have to know what you are doing to do this right. I watched my installer do it my garage and it was a 9-10 hour job. I know I could not have done it and would be amazed that someone with no experience could do it right if at all.

I would encourage anyone thinking about Xpel (not Expel) Ultimate film to go to the Xpel website where you can search for an authorized installer in your area. I was fortunate to find an authorized installer who really cares about his product. He found a tiny hair under one of the major, complicated pieces and replaced the whole piece, no questions, no cost to me. It has been 15 months and 10,000 miles since he installed the Xpel Ultimate and it is still flawless!

Had my car done with the Ultimate three weeks ago and so far I really like it. I did full fenders, full hood, nose, headlights, fog lights, mirrors, rockers, bottom of the doors, door cups, and around the the rear brake ducts. One thing to be cognizant of is, on a car like mine (2012 GS Centennial), the matte stripes turn glossy under the film. So now my hood stripes are gloss and the roof/deck lid are matte. I don't mind, knowing the front of the car is well protected. Now, I can't imagine what it would have looked like with only a partial hood.

This is not my first car with a "clear bra" and has always given me peace of mind, which was backed up with excellent results.

Check Xpel's web site. I think they list installers by state.
