I may try the flat stainless set I bought for the back, on the dash. They appear to be the same size and look like they might "lay" better as the dash is slightly concave.

would that cause problems if the airbag ever deployed?
So I just finished installing the vinyl chrome letters on the rear bumper and I do not think they will last very long. These letters seem to be the same size as the indent in the bumper and no matter how I position them they do not fit good. I did however pick up some trim and installed it along the top of the rear fascia and I like it very much.

Are you against painting ?? It really turns out factory looking and quite easy to do.

I picked up another set of the domed vinyl letters for the dash and they look pretty good. They were however a pain in my *** to install just like they were on the rear bumper cover, I do not have the patience for these flimsy wanting to move every way except the correct way. If in the future I needed to put another set on the bumper I would definitely go with a hard plastic chrome or stainless. I did very much like the chrome trim on the rear valance though, $16 for a 1/2" roll at advance and I did the valance the tail lights and have enough left over to do another valance........now where did I put that Camaro............................:thumb s:
So you go ahead and do the rectangular overspray, then take everything except the recessed letters off with the mineral spirits? Is it hard to get the excess paint off?
If you're a handy person at all, you'll be amazed at just how easy this is, and how great the letters will look. I had never done anything like that before, so I was a little nervous. With just one try, it turned out awesome. Just go for it! If you don't like it, you can just use the mineral spirits to remove all of the spray paint very easily & quickly.
The mineral spirits does nothing to the original paint, as long as you wipe it off right away. Add a couple coats of wax over the area, and you're done!
