How many people use the HUD and when?

I love the HUD, we had this in our C5 as well. I like to use it at night, and when I'm on the freeway. I use it a lot, I'm glad to have it.

Husband on the other hand, he doesn't like it.

I hardly know what the gage cluster looks like. I've always used it since I bought the car. It is really handy when using the NAV.

Navigation displays in the HUD if you are in street mode. Makes it very useful as you don't have to look at the screen.

My V1 radar detector also displayed in the HUD.

The nav directions show up in the HUD. That's one reason I stick with factory nav.

The upcoming turns and distance to next turn shows up on the HUD if you use the OEM navigation.

Street Mode on the HUD supports
audio and navigation
functions with your choice
of tachometer settings.

Cool!! Thanks for the picture, I was trying to picture it in my head and couldn’t LOL! I have yet to figure out the Navigation. I haven’t went anywhere in the Vette where I needed it. Plus I have it on my phone. I would like to learn how to use it. I can Navigate through it and I’m pretty sure I can figure it out, it looks pretty simple.

I would like to hook up my Bluetooth. I tried to get my phone hooked up to it, but it wasn’t working out for me. I pushed the little phone/voice button on my steering wheel and some man’s voice is on there LOL. Pretty sure that’s the previous owner.

The OEM Nav is very powerful , but not as easy to learn as a Garmin. The graphics are not quite as nice either.
I have both and since I have learned to maneuver the OEM Nav, I never use the Garmin.

There is a tutorial that shows how to use it. (attached)
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rough-5-a.html

It doesn't show all the tricks, but it is a very good start.
I usually pre load my destinations (hotels, points of interest) into a memory point folder in the Nav, and then select from that menu on a daily basis instead of selection a full route from start to finish. The memory point folder allows you to select destinations while the vehicle is moving.

I use it all the time. I've tried the different modes but always take it back to the basic-speedo only mode.
I like the turn signal indicators being in there as well.

I really like the C6 analog gauges, but I use the HUD because I have it. Very convenient.

Hate to drive the wifes car, keeping looking in the window for my speed.

I never use it. It's great at night, but I still glance down at the gages.

I use the HUD all the time. Every once in awhile though need to glance down and scan the other gauges though to make sure everything is "ok".

good to check coolant temp as I usually have oil temp on the HUD. Quick scan of the gages tells me everything is OK.

I love my HUD. Always have it on. All my vettes had it. Will never have a Vette without it!
