Went for a cruise today and stopped by the store for a few things, I noticed the radio kept playing after I shut down, Hmmm, so I closed the door, still playing, Hmmm. So I turned it off and tried setting the alarm, acting very funny but did it.
Wifey comes out and we start to leave, NO FOB DETECTED, Hmmm, so I put it in the slot in the glove box and it starts right up Hmmm, Heck I Don't know ??????????
So we get home and everything works fine AFTER I remove the Cell charger from the port I get my manual out and it says (I have read it numerous times also) If there is a driver installed device in the aux port it may interfere with the system or something to that effect!!

That plug in the console is always hot. Ray Kawal sells a fuse jumper for under $15 that makes it hot only when the car is running. Eliminates this problem. I have my I Pod plugged in there all the time now and have not had the problem since I installed Ray's fix (5 minute install)

We charge our phones all the time from the console outlet, never had a problem.
There is on gas station that always interferes with the fob. Stopped going there, no more problems.
It could be the type or quality of the charger that interferes electrically, who knows but I'm glad I figured it out, had me puzzled for a while. I had just changed the FOB battery so I didn't think that could be it.
Everything is A-OK now.

One of the guys in our club had a 2012 GS, and intermittent problems with the TPMS warnings & pressures. The dealer was going nuts trying to fix it; swapping sensors and modules and whatever, but the problem kept coming back eventually.
One day the dealer tech noticed the owner's cellphone charger was plugged in, he removed it and the problem never came back in the year or two the owner still had that car.
My cell phone charger has been plugged in the night i took the car home almost a year ago. Never had a problem.
Are you leaving your phone in the charger, in the car, all the time??
If not, i can't see how a charger, even with no phone attached to it, can interfere with anything else in the car.
All I can tell you is GM says it could so obviously they think it can, look in your manual, and its not just a charger, but any plugin device could cause the problem.

FWIW, my '05 has always had a phone charger plugged in and never has had a problem . No aux port, however.
It has started giving signs of a couple of the TPMS going bad. I wonder if I unplug the phone charger, could I get another couple of years out of them?

My '12 GS must be special then.
Ipod permanently plugged in (except for when i sync new songs like once every 3 months) and phone charger always plugged in.
i 've had this happen with the USB dual charger in the 12v outlet... i switched to a traditional 12v single verizon plug in and never a problem again... i am a believer... and i am telling you i have watched it a dozen times...
that and my S5 in same pocket as fob with sometime interfere with the trunk button at rear and the door handles now and again... i've changed the batteries and remotes.. these cars have terrible grounds and the electronics are antiquated compared to today (even the last year they made them 2013!!
