Does any one know of a super sharp Vette mechanic in the Greensboro, NC area?? My 13 C6 coupe has an exhaust leak after it is warmed up. My Chevy dealer can not find it.

Both are a bit more than a "mechanic" but I've heard of JHR Performance in Mooresville and VettePros in Charlotte. Do an advanced search from the red bar above and limit to keywords like, NC, repair, etc. Or go here and ask question, too: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/southeast-42/
Seriously? A GM dealer can't isolate an exhaust leak? What in the hell has happened to this country? Unbelievable! :-[
I live in a small town and my chevy dealer does not even have a showroom. They always want me to drop it off. But, I tell them the car has to be hot to be able to smell the exhaust leak. Also, the AC has to be on which will draw air into the car. If you do not have the AC you do not smell it while in the car. Sometimes you can smell it when the window is down or the door is open when at idle. The bottom line is I would have to drive the car get it hot and have them check it. I tried that but they say the are to busy and drop it off. I received some other posts for chevy dealers not to far from me and will give them a shout.

OP - when you say "exhaust leak" are you referring to NOISE, or are you referring to SMELL?
After carefully reading your posts, it kinda sounds like you are referring to the infamous 'oil smell' issue that many of us C6 owners are living with.

It is a smell not noise. What do mean by the INFOMOUS OIL SMELL??
Good luck. I have learned to live with mine. It only happens once in a while for me. But it still pisssses me off to have a car of this caliber that smells like a piece of junk while that odor is present.

When refilling oil aft. an oil change, typically a drop or two gets on the manifold causing a burning oil smell. It takes awhile to go away.
You were right. It was not an exhaust smell. I took it to another chevy dealer (Bill Black) recommended by another post. What they found, when the oil filter was changed (about 300 miles ago), oil was splashed on the area around the filter. I would have thought it would have burned off after 300 miles. They sprayed the area with a cleaner. No more smell. The technician was aware of oil spilling on the manifold when refilling and takes special care to avoid that. Thanks for your input.
