Drop it into S and use the paddle shifter to drop it down to 1st grear
Turn traction control off , pake sure the car is straight and there is nothing around that you can hit

Mash the throttle and hold on , I call it STAB IT AND STEER IT

Be ready to shift it

You're saying that if I'm at a complete stop and floor it in "D" the car will start out in 2nd gear ?
My 2013 GS goes like a bat outta hell but it won't smoke the tires from a dead stop. It will do a decent burnout but not a tire melting smokey burnout. Just a stomp, no brake assist or neutral drop.
I was actually disappointed as I was expecting better. The tires don't even leave marks on the pavement

Now if I were to brake assist in the beginning I'm sure it would be a different story.

When I did a burnout in those cars you heard the tires screaming for mercy when I lit them up......
no matter what .......With my C6 with Michelin Pilot Super Sports , both Runflat and regular , unless I am using the brake as a line lock , these tires are quiet .
When I just punch it off the line with the traction control off and the transmission in 1st gear the only way I know I am spinning the tires is because...
1- The rear end is swaying all over the place
2- The two black marks I just left on the ground like an immature child
3 - And the smell of very expensive fresh rubber in the morning.......
Not sure why

Now with the Traction control on ,after a slight bog that I am attributing to the nannies pulling back on the power , my C6 pulls like a freight train as long as I want it to and hold it to the floor

If you've been using the paddles, but you come to a stop without downshifting with the paddles, then it will drop into and start out in 2nd.
