A friend of mine ordered a white headlight assembly for his 2013 c6 from a local dealer 8 weeks ago and no one can tell him when it will be available. Does anyone know what the problem is on getting them from the manufacturer or when they will be available? Noone seems to know when or where you cab get them. It seems odd he can't get a headlight replacement for a 2013 c6. Thanks
There are other options available if he can't get one from the dealer in a timely fashion.
Buy a used one (any color) on the FS section, send it to RLSebring and get the bezel painted the right color with a new lens installed, all for about 2/3rds of what a new one would cost.
I'm sure forum member RLSebring has used ones that he can ppaint, add a new lens to it for a very reasonable price shipped to your home.
What is wrong with the one he has to replace? Can it be made new with a new lens?
If so, 2 hours and he can have his old one looking like a new one.
He can sent it to RLSebring, and he will do it for him as well and ship it back, before he gets one from the dealer.
A refurbished one will look like a new one. He won't be able to tell, nor will anyone else.
As long as he has lot's of extra $$ to burn, and months to wait on a new one from GM, then it's his decision.

where is the person that does these repairs located?

In Pensacola Florida. His name is Robert Sebring and he has been doing this for a very long time, uses only GM OEM lenses and has the Bezels professionally painted. He uses UPS for his shipping, so the turn around is very quick. Rumour has it that there is not many lens available to him anymore, so maybe that is why GM can't get the new headlights either.
Send him an e-mail for more info.
Just as a point of reference, I am having both my headlights replaced at the dealer on my 2011 GS. They ordered them from GM on Friday afternoon and I was just told they are delivering either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. My service advisor said they come from Detroit and I am in Phoenix. They never mentioned anything about a supply problem and from the time it took to get mine, it doesn't appear there is one.
