Not in my vette Thank goodness but I was hit by a deer last night about 9:30 PM coming home from my daughter's basketball practice in our Suburban. I say "I was hit" because the damn deer literally ran into the side of my truck, there was nothing I could do. The sheriff said it was one of the crazier one's he's seen in the last 10 years he's been doing this.

He figures the deer got spooked by something and he was running full bore and couldn't avoid me. I didn't even hardly seen anything until just before I heard a big boom. He hit the truck and ricochet off and kept running like nothing ever happened. Pretty good size buck.

Only damage is the front driver's door. There is a slight rub on the front fender but I'll adjust that once all the insurance crap is done.

I've had a couple run into the side of me. One buck left horn scratches down the side of my truck, he was ok though. Was kind of funny, watching him in the rear view mirror shaking his head like, dang, that was a close one!

Spendy too..... Just got things all lined up with the insurance & body shop, goes in next Wednesday (11/18) for repairs. $2974.44 total cost. Thanks goodness my deductible was only $250.

Lower front fender had a minor crease I didn't see in the garage so they need to replace that too.

Parts were pretty cheap ($714), the bulk of the cost is paint & blend work due to having the gold flake in the paint they'll need to blend the front bumper, hood, rear door behind driver's door and some of the top.

Will take 7-8 days.

Fortunately body & paint is far advanced compared to yesteryear. My Tundra was involved in a crash some time ago, it is Thunder Grey, lots of weird color in it so I was worried when they said "blend" but with clear coats and such it came out bitchin.
Hope your does also Pricey??? Yep over $5000 for fender and hood
