Default Need Advice

I just bought a 2008 Corvette and I am trying to remove the tail light grills on the back of the vette. I am also wanting to remove the CB radio antenna mount and wiring from the license plate of the corvette in the rear. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this? I do not even know where to begin!

Thanks!

The grills are most likely held on with double sided tape. You could use a blow dryer to heat them and they should just pull off. Do you have a picture of the antenna?

Either that or they are installed with longer screws than what the lens was installed with.

Um, what screws would those be? Do you mean the ones on the top of the light holding the light in place?

Those tail light louvres are put on with double sided tape. Get a fishing line behind them, and get them off that way. Get rid of any residue with goo gone.

As far as the CB mount, that should be easily removed by removing the bolt or screw that holds it in place. The wiring can also be removed, or simply taped up and hidden in the rear facia.

There is one T15 screw at the top of the lights, remove that and remove the light (twist the bulb holder 1/4 turn or unplug the electric connector). Then use fishing line or dental floss(will break easier) to cut the tape, then goo gone will remove the rest of the tape/residue.

The CB antena mount should be bolted to a screw, maybe the license plate screw? Picture from underside would help. They probably had to drill a hole in the bumper to run the wire. If a standard size you can get a plastic plug at a hardware store to pop into the hole. They are usually white so they are paintable if you want to take it that far to not stick out as much.

Pop out tailights as stated above. CB antenna bracket, looks like lay on your back and remove screws underneath, then cut wire back as far as you can with your dikes(diagonal pliers)done deal.

Should be able to pull back the CB cable with the inner left taillight out.
