Default CE question

I have a 2012 Centennial Edition Grand Sport vert. I know they built 528 cars. How can I find out what build number mine was, or did Chevy give them build numbers?

Isn't it the last 5 digits of the vin number?

The last 3 digits of my VIN are 206. I guess that could work.

Well, you got yourself number 206 then. Cool!

Yes there were 528 GS CE Verts but I see nothing vin specific about the CE's. Your last three are 206 but what are the two numbers before it. I don't want to know but I'm just saying your car could be any number of combinations that end in 206. i.e. 10206 or 01206 etc, etc.

No specific VIN was used for CE's, and to the best of my knowledge, no "x of 528" numerations were placed. Further I don't think the CE run was continuous, meaning CE's were likely assigned whatever VIN came next, mixed with coupes, GS's, and Z06's (ZR1's had their own VIN sequence).

The only thing you could do is get a list of all VIN's and models leading up to yours, and manually count how many CE's came down the line before you. Your "206" (assuming its really "00206" and not "20206") could be #1 made or #206 made, or any number in between. (sequence is the last 5 VIN digits)

Makes sense. Thanks for the responses. No big deal, just didn't know if they were numbered. I had a 04 Cobra vert and it came with an actual build certificate indicating what number is was and the actual day it was built.
