I carry my California Duster around in the back area, along with a spray bottle of Dry Wash n' Shine and a couple of clean rags.
BTW, at one point in my life I had a black '97 Camaro and a black '95 GMC Safari van. I nearly wore out a California Duster on those two. That ended my love affair with black cars.
It is my opinion from reading this forum, that there are some seriously lazy owners out there who don't take the time to keep their cars detailed. Something I will never understand as an owner of an American icon.

Different strokes for different folks. Some are waxers, some are drivers and some are both. I am both but if I owned a all black car you would call me a driver.....they get dusty 5 minutes after washing them around here.
It is already immaculately shiny with not even single mark or smear on it. Us proactive guys do that after each drive so we can just look, enjoy and smile.
I always smile, I always have the urge to wipe, but don't always have the time to succumb to the urge. However, I do keep it pretty clean, and regularly wash, wax, detail, etc.
No. Because as soon as I drive it it just gets dirty again. I wash it when it needs it. Just not everytime I look at it.
Maybe I'll have that kind of time when I retire....

Mansfield! I am only about 12 miles west of you CROWLEY
You guys do know that the more you wipe and spray (and wipe and spray and wipe and spray) the more you are ruining the paint. Right? The less contact you have with the surface, the better it will retain it's original luster.
Wash, blow dry, Jet Black...........repeat only as necessary (which isn't too often for my 4K mile garage queen).

My 07 has 160,000 miles.....few rock chips in paint and whindows.
Very little clear coat scratches. Had the whole car polished when I had the gloss black paint done. Looks better than when I picked it up new.
Arctic White is the toughest paint I have had on a Corvette.
Had the pipes welded last week and there was a lady with a new white 5.0 Mustang there also. She said she loved my new Vette. Could not believe it was a 8 year old daily driver.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
