Default Model Decoder Info Needed

I'm looking into the purchase of a 2013 Grand Sport convertible. I plugged the VIN into the Forum's decoder and it told me the car was a 2013 Grand Sport 4LT, which is what the car is advertised as. It appears to be a Grand Sport 4LT given the physical items I could see. (Trim, fender badges, seats etc.)

When I checked the identification plate on the glove box door for the list of options, I see that the model code is shown as 1YY67, which I found to be the code for a base model. Apparently the GS model code is 1YG67. What gives???

Can anyone help?

Al

thanx ruxvette: I've got all of that. It's just that the model number didn't match. I wondered if there was some simple explanation.

I think you are referring to the "1YY07" located at the top right corner of the RPO sticker.

That is on all Corvettes, it's just the GM code for a Corvette. The "07" appears on the top left of all Corvette build sheets too, denoting the "model" as Corvette.

Example GS RPO sticker, note the "1YY07" on the top right corner:
