I wouldn't think so as long as they're not holes, and as long as the dents don't affect whether it fits or not. Wonder how those dents happened?

"happened during shipping"..........yeah, right.
If it happened during shipping the wrap on the muffler would be damaged, don't ya think? I am not a forensic criminologist, but I do watch CSI.
That dent will not have any impact on the function of the muffler unless it broke a weld inside. Shake the muffler, if you hear anything rattling around inside then you may have a problem. If nothing is loose, it will work and sound just fine.

That didn't happen during shipping! Did it drop from the airplane or drop off the truck doing 120mph. Never ever use that shipping co. My 0.02

Looks like a hairline crack at the 12o'clock position. If so,have it welded and your good to go. Btw: that didn’t happen during shipping, that thing got bottomed out.

If I received a package damaged specially what they cost, I would be with the shipper for replacement.
Has you see Corvettes are special we don't put damaged parts on them.

Take the $150 for him being dishonest and slap them on. I don't think that will affect anything at all except the look.

I'm wondering if the tips can be repaired since they're stainless?

Seems like they would polish if they are stainless.

I don't know if I can sand them down enough to polish out.

Next time the guy ships, have him put it in a box and specify it's not to be dragged behind the UPS truck.

What did he take those off his car with? A big azz set of water pump pliars? How did the cans get so dented and scratched? Were the ones you traded him that much of a mess?

He said he bought them from somebody on here and never installed them. My Sports were mint with the exception of 2 scratches on the side of one tip.

To be honest, the tip of the exhaust would bother me. I would send it back or you will never be happy.
