Anyone in the Fort Lauderdale area familiar with the AutoNation Chevrolet dealership in your area. Is this an actual GM Chevrolet dealership, or is it similar to a CarMax dealership.

It is a real dealership, in fact they own several brands of autos. There are several AutoNation Chevrolet dealerships in the Phoenix area. It is a conglomerate investment firm owned by the guy who owns the Jacksonville Jaguars, at least it was when they bought out more than half of the dealerships in the country several years ago.

Yes, they are legit. Assuming they work deals like their Green Acres/Lake Worth location, you'll find that their pricing is above market (they will tell you differently) and their trade in prices are lower that you would expect. They also have several expensive add-ons. My experience with Autonation is that they are not very negotiable; they are inflexible on their asking prices (at least for used Vettes).
Be very careful, or you will pay much more than necessary.

Priced a Vette there..... not negotiable..... Drove north to West Palm Beach and bought a 3 years newer vette with 25k lower miles for the same price Autonation was asking for theirs.
