As title states...with phones getting larger and larger I notice they don't fit as easily in the cup holder anymore. My Note 5 being the largest phone yet it goes flying around the cockpit versus sitting snuggling in the dual cup holders. What have others done that doesn't look too tacky.
Had a similar problem with our phones and found this on Amazon (I believe). What I really like is, besides firmly holding the phone, it adjusts to fit both my phone & my wife's (different sizes). We have one in each of our vehicles.
I bought one from Wal-Mart that sticks on and you put a magnet on the back of your phone and it which holds it on. Works great especially for when you are using the Navigation part on your cell phone.....

I'm in the same boat as you with my iPhone 6s+
I can lay it in the cupholder at an angle, but its not very stable.
Was hoping to find a little rectangular pocket that might attach on the side of the console, similar to how the travelbuddy cup holder for the C6 is situated. (I am sure the Travelbuddy's cup sockets are not large enough to hold a supersize phone like the 6+ or your Note5)
I don't want anything that glues on, nor do I want something that clips to the vents, because when it is summer here in Vegas I need every bit of airflow I can get from them!

Watching this thread with interest...
I live in Mesquite, just North of you ... the one's I have don't really block the vents, the air blows around them. I also put them on the passenger side, because my wife normally partially closes the vents so they don't blow directly on her.
I've seen ones that hang over the waterfall to hold different things, maybe that would work??
Just remember that note in your manual about driver installed electronic devices maybe interfering with your FOB
NSF
Maybe this one

I had a (cheap) vent mount for a while... it held the phone ok, but was floppy when going over bumps (bounced up and down), and kinda blocked the Nav screen. How is yours in those regards?

My wife had bought a cheap one for her car initially, had the same problem. These are a little more expensive and of better quality; in addition to the clips being a little firmer, there's an adjustable/removable 'kickstand' on the lower part of the back that helps stabilize it. Been on a few road trips since installing it and it holds the phone well and fairly stable, even over rough roads. Also, as you can see in the photos, this one doesn't block the NAV screen and is held out enough from the vents as to block the air flow. Personally, I've tried a few different types, and really like this one
I have the one from Proclips usa, works excellent puts in a great position and is easy to install. You just select the holder for your phone to attach to the back plate in pic below. http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard-...ette/2012.cmsv

Check out the magnet mounts from Rokform. I have the magnetic case which makes mounting the magnet in the car a nice option. In the Vette I have it where the traction control *** would be in the center. Works good.

This is the best one on the market. 1\15th the price of Pro Clip and can get the phone is the same spot. Very small and not visible at all when the phone is attached.

This is THE BEST solution I've come up with.. My bro told me about it, and I now have one in EVERY car.. Cell phone case has a small magnetic plate inside the case, and the 'mount' in the car fits firmly on the air vents.. Holds the phone up perfectly, and solidly.. totally removable.. AWESOME product.. And it's CHEAP.. Every once in a while you find a product that SHINES due to its simplicity, and perfect execution.. these guys nailed this..
You need the mount for 7 or 9 bucks, and the case for your phone (by spigen as well) (Or you can put the magnet that comes with the case on the back of your existing case, but that's kinda ghetto if you ask me.. lol)
Get it.. one for each car.. don't think about it.. do it.. you're welcome!
Don't know about the Spec case, I'm assuming (which I know I shouldn't do) that you're talking about a phone case. If that is the case, the option I provided should support it, it is adjustable. Originally, I was using it with a Nokia Lumina 1520, one of the largest 'phontabs' out with a filp cover case with no problems. I simply flipped the cover back and adjusted the holder to accept it. Now I'm using it with Galaxy S6 edge, also a fairly large phone, with a case with no problem.

I already have a case for my phone and decide not to change it, how will the magnet work then??
Is there an adhesive to the circular or square magnet for that option?
