Future value of C6
I've been checking KBB values for the C6 since I bought mine. It has lost value, but granted I've more than doubled the miles (bought with 7,800 and now at 17,000).
How low do you see the C6 bottoming out (base, grand sport, z06, zr1)? Even with tons of miles just browsing Autotrader they are in the mid to lower 20s for a base coupe. Obviously options and year matter, but just in general interested to see where you think they will end up or if you think they will ever appreciate.

You've got to invest in something very rare if you expect a used car to gain value. A mass produced American can do nothing but lose value monthly. The value to these cars is driving them and enjoying them.

Got my base 2008 with 46k miles on it about 3 months ago. $Jetstream blue tintcoat, 4lt trim, hud, two-tone interior (cashmere and black), $npp duel mode exhaust, $speedline forged 15 spoke corvette wheels. It was for 30 grand. What do you guys think?

Quite frankly, the question "How low do you see the C6 bottoming out" is not answerable. In 2030 will you see 2005 coupes selling for $7500 "in today's dollars"? Probably. Maybe.

Funny, I never once thought about resale value for my GS, having too much fun enjoying it. Corvettes will hold their value better than most cars out there, that's all you really need to know. Unless your in the original C2 market, those are the game changers.

Not worried about resale. I also don't think it will appreciate. Just interested to see how you guys think it will play out.
I've driven the car over double the miles the previous owner put on it in 10 months (cars an 09).
I do think someday a pristine ZR1 will command good money. By all means not an investment though.

I highly doubt the C6 Z06 will be worth a high price. A bunch of them are blowing up and have received a bad reputation.

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
The question the OP asks is very simple to answer .....
By the time a C6 is actually worth more than what it originally cost new ... every member here on the Corvette Forum will be dead of old age.

Sounds like a good fair deal, and a really nice car!

The way I look at the C6, is that I bought the car to enjoy. I did not buy it to store in a garage, or keep it ultra pristine to sit behind it at car shows.
I drive it from April 1 - Nov 1 of each year, as a DD, and as a #1 road trip vehicle.
I keep it clean, inside and out the best I can. I don't worry about getting rock chips, or getting stuck in the rain with it.
If it devalues, so be it...I don't care.
I will drive it as much as I can, enjoy it as it should be enjoyed, and smile each and every time I get behind the wheel.
When I get too many miles on this car, I'll get another one, that has been kept in a garage, with next to no miles on it....for a steal of a price, because they saved it to keep the value up on it, and it may of earned them an extra few thousand dollars.
The best saying I've ever read is the one that says:
Keeping miles off a modern corvette by not driving it, is like having a
gorgeous wife or girlfriend and not having sex with them so you can save them for the next guy.............
