Default Vitesse Throttle Controller Installed

Very easy install. My problem is getting my body in that small space. Besides that a monkey could do this. Now it is raining here in Dallas but I am not trying to break tires loose. I put it on 0 setting did a couple stop and go tests. Put it on 9 setting and did a couple stop and go tests. And BIG nice noticeable difference. I did take the 13mm bolts out and seemed to make it much easier. Thank you Vitesse for the on the fly adjustability that the competition does NOT offer. No more lag. Car reacts now when asked to.

My question is why would chevy put the lag in a Corvette. This is there performance car. I must agree take out the lag and you really see what it should be.

Maybe I should give a GM engineer a ride and we can talk about this.

I really think they know. Maybe they look at larger picture. Lets face it we know the average age of Corvette buyers.

True. Still it is a sports car. Why buy a sports car with a throttle controller built for grandma.

AFAIK, they did it to help get the MPG up (to avoid the guzzler tax probably). Maybe helps with pollution too.

Thank all of it to endless government regulations.

What 13mm bolts are you referring to and how/what did they help with?

Question guys? Everyone speaks of lag here, is these owners with auto transmissions? I have a MN6 GS and i do not have any lag. Sure the throttle response can always be improved (less input, more output) but i did not realize i had a problem since reading these vitesse control posts here. When i want more response i push that metal pedal on the far right little harder and farther and i feel that it allows good and wide range of. modulation. I have been a hot rodder for more than 40 years and this is not my first muscle car, I am honestly not trying to be smart a... but this lag thing puzzles me.

The two that secure the throttle assembly to the floor/firewall. Removing them frees the pedal assembly making it a little easier to unhook the electrical connection at the top of the assembly.

For some reason GM installed a delay in the gas pedal. If you try this or a COW BOOSTER you will feel an instant response. This may not be for all drivers, your reflexes may not handle it. It is worth a try, but be careful. Thanks

That's why the Vitesse unit is a good mod. You can dial in the amount of throttle response that you are comfortable with.

I just finished my installation. What a pain in the ***...but worth it!!,

You will love it. Lots of fun and you don't have to wait for some joker to send you tunes or updates or whatever he sends you. And you did it for much less.
