Default Traction Control...HELP!

Hey guys, I'm in the process of pulling my console out. How do you get the traction control button plug under the console to release? I swear I'm gonna break it if I don't do it right. Thanks!!!

It's a 2010 base model if that makes any difference.

I have been told there is a small tab to push. I will keep trying.

There is a tab on the back side
Hard to do is a understatement.

Is it on the lower part of the connector or top part?

I feel your pain there brother as I had the same problem. I was doing the auto pawl tie back thing and it took me about 3 hours to do and 2 hours of that was getting that little B@#$@&D unplugged. The little tab you speak of on mine was on the top of the plug...yes thats correct, at the top so its almost impposible to get to it. I wound up making a small tool with a sharp bend in it that would fit in between the plug and the console. Then you have to get lucky and be able to push the tab without really being able to see it.....total PITA !!!! It worked though. Once I got it unplugged I just broke the tab off in case I have to go back in there. Good luck !!!!

I fought with that one for a half hour. Finally I was so pissed off at it that I just yanked it as hard as I could and it came off amazingly in one piece.

I do believe that's an internal lock tab. The white part, pull on that should slide out a little and plug should come free. I say, SHOULD. I've seen plugs like that on my Tahoe, that's how they worked.

Eta. Updated.. while I posted. Lol.glad ya got it.

Could you put a arrow at the point that needs to be released?
I think I found it looking at your pics, I want to see if I'm right.

I tired that many times and it did not work. Turns out when I stuck a small screw driver in between the plug and the switch to pry it loose,it popped out. It was like magic when it came out. My son and I looked at each other an said..."are you kidding me"?

But all the work was worth it because I got the Vitesse installed where I wanted it. But it really was a pain in the ***!!, Blurry picture but you get the idea.
