Default Garage door opener

Can't get my openers to program to my car? Had the garage installer here and we tried everything
Started the car and that didn't help either?
He said the opener on garage wasn't picking up the signal from the car

This is my understanding
Two systems Car2U and Homelink

Car2U visor/system won't operate Homelink door system. I just put door remote in car to open/close door.

Some openers cannot be programmed with our cars. I just had two new garage doors and openers installed last year. After trying everything, I finally contacted the opener mcg and they told me their opener was not compatible with my cars system.

Yeah, thanks, Chevy. A $70K car and I have to carry my opener around with me. FAIL!

I keep hoping that one of you brilliant electrical-types will figure out a viable solution, as I continue to dream of a day when I can utilize on-board 20th century technology to park my car in the garage.

if you opener is new then its homelink, and won't program to the vette. Seems everyone wants everything on their phone now. You can get the wireless device for these openers and use your phone. Another $150 to $200.

I have a 2012 GS and I was able to program my opener. Try going to Homelink.com for instructions. That's what I used to program my GS. Very

What happens if the visor button quits working? We use the garage remotes in all three cars.

My opener is a Liftmaster, made by Chamberlain, and is pretty new. I had to buy an extra thing called a repeater for like $30. Supposed to be more secure. Homelink works fine now. Good luck.

my garage door openers are genie, I also have to deal with a community gate that is dip switch and my 07 has the one that isn't homelink - bottom line RTFM - when I brought the manual and followed the instructions for each remote exactly everything worked perfectly.

My chamberlain garage door opener works with my remote. Took a few times but it finally accepted the code.

I had too many remotes. Each time one would program, it would drop another off. Finally ended up with a flash-to-pass. Works off the high beam switch. 2 flicks of the high beams and the door is open, no matter who made the garage door opener. Handles 6 or more remotes.

My C6 is an 05. My detached garage has a Chamberlain opener, my attached garage has a Genie opener and my entry gate has a Multi Code remote. I was able to program all 3 with the Homelink in the Corvette with no problem. The two garage door openers required an additional step to synchronize with the rolling code.

I have a 2006 with Homelink, and it was easy to synch with the garage door opener.

The later Lear2U in the C6 have given owners some issues, but Lear2U technical services seemed to be able to help get them synched.

Reminds me of a funny story, when I programmed the buttons in the Silverado I had, I cleared the neighbors garage programming and set my buttons to open their garage.
Now that was funny, for about a day.
And now back to your thread........

Dumb question but was the car IN the garage when you tried to program it? If it was try moving it in the driveway a little away from the opener.

I too installed a new garage door last year. The old one worked with my 2011GS but the new won't. The new one is a Linear. I have tried the programming process at least two dozen times with the new one. No luck. Any suggestions? What about a repeater I have heard mentioned?
