Default Rear view mirror question

I noticed that the rear view mirror is dirty. I've tried cleaning it but it seems to be dirty on the inside mirror off the rear view mirror. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

I've seen that before and as far as I know there is no fix except to replace the entire mirror.

I've got this on my 2012 GS. Not apparent when I'm looking at it in traffic, but very noticeable when I'm cleaning it. And it's really only half of my mirror that shows it - cut right down the middle. To me, it seems to be a manufacturing defect.

Yes that's exactly what's wrong mine and I have a 2012 coupe. It's also more noticeable at night.

If your talking about an oily looking stuff but you can't touch it, it probably the stuff that makes your mirror dim automatically. Once that happens it needs to be replaced.

The seal that holds the fluid in fails. Nothing you can do about it.

Mine looked dirty right from the factory. Something behind the glass. Not too big of a spot but still drove me crazy. Had it changed out under warranty.
