Reverse Warning!
Is there some kind of warning sound if you don't have your Vette in reverse in an M/T before you exit the car? I have an '05. Also, not that I would want to but is there a way to turn that warning sound off? Just wondering.

Nope, no warning. However, I believe that there was a software re-flash available for the '05s from the dealer which, when loaded, precludes the necessity to shift into reverse to avoid discharging the battery when exiting the car.

I have an 05 M6 vert. If I don't shift into reverse when shut down I get a message on the DIC. The door will not automatically unlock unless I am in reverse.

...If this isn't enough to get your attention to shift into reverse, then you need to buy a 2006 or newer Vette..
