Default 2005 Corvette Electrical Issue

I've had my vette since 2008 with almost no problems at all. Lately while driving down the road the car will pop all errors up. Will light up like a Christmas tree.

I can stop the car and turn it off and back on, and only the little yellow lock icon will still be on in the car. My car won't recognize the FOBs at times either.

I replaced the car battery. The dealer replaced the batteries in the FOBs (that was worthless for $100).

I have the same issue as this one:
http://www.arfc.org/complaints/2005/.../10807204.aspx

Does anyone have the same problem?

What are the codes?

Have you pulled the codes?

That will help us tremendously.

Thanks,Matt

It definitely sounds like a power issue. Bad connection somewhere. Have you checked the battery connection at the starter?

I will need to buy a code reader from Autozone tonight. They have one for $100 dollars.

You can just go to Advance auto or Auto Zone , they will read your codes for you if you don't want to buy a reader....WW

Do this first.
The starter solenoid have a habit of cracking with age and causing all kinds of electrical gremlins.

Case in point. The bakelite material cracks under heat, and more so if fitted with headers.

You should also check the large blue connectors in the passenger foot-well.

Take them apart and clean with a contact cleaner spray, add some dielectric grease then re-seat them making sure the connections are secure.

Occasionally a passenger pushing on the floor board can cause these to become intermittent.

If you can wait a couple of days, they have much cheaper ones on Amazon. I've seen them as low as $15; I bought one for about $50. If you have Prime it can be in your hands in two days.

Passenger foot well connectors was my first thought as well.
Check out this thread:

I hope its that simple of a fix.

Had the same issue with my 05, ended up being loose battery connection. The OEM ones are crap in my opinion. Went to AutoZone and bought some replacements, haven't had a problem since.

Thanks for all of the replies. I will check Amazon and see if they have cheaper code readers.

This has been frustrating.

May want to check this first, as others have posted, the likely problem.
Swing back the lever on top of the blue connector plugs to remove and check that all the small pins are visible and not pushed back in the plug.
Clean with electrical contact cleaner, let dry and re-assemble, confirming the plug goes all the way into the BCM unit.

Thanks for all the posts. I've been riding my motorcycle lately. What I've tried so far: Cleaned the blue connectors. Bought a Xtool U581, but no error codes are displaying and no error codes to clear. Live data looks good. Maybe cleaning the blue connectors worked.
