Default Help identifying code for suspension

I am thinking of changing my shocks in my 2005 C6. I have the selective ride control option. Need some help verifying the option I have. Did some reading yesterday night and need to confirm.

I see the code F55. This is magnetic selective ride control. Then there is a FE2. What is this one? I could not find anything for FE2 in the web.

Thanks.

FE2 just denotes the standard FE1 springs and sway bars with the Mag Shocks instead of the standard shocks.

Would that not also include other F55 specific chassis items as a subset to the F55 option? I'm thinking the greaseable ends on the rear toe-adjusts and the drilled and tapped frame and A-arms for mounting the sensors. Maybe all frames/A-arms are drilled/tapped, but certainly there are no grease zerks on a F1.

I too have the F55 Selective Magnetic ride with the FE2 (FE1 sway bars)-

I just put on the C6 Z51 Sway bars - makes a "HUGE" difference - the paltry FE1 sway bars just do not cut it at all!

At CULTRAG it is simply c6z51bars in the search box and your good to go - slap them on and you'll notice the difference immediately! Worth every $249.20

None of the "FE_" codes were stand-alone options for C6's. They denote either standard equipment (FE1) or what automatically was included as part of the optional suspension packages. FE1 was included if you did not specify any optional suspension, FE3 was automatically included with Z51, and FE2 with F55. Looking at the GM parts catalogue, there are different leaf spring part numbers for each of FE1/2/3, so likely f55 automatically included, among other things like the mag-ride shocks and controller, leafs tailored to that package as part of FE2.
